Having no choice.
“It’s unfamiliar to many people in the UK but for many destitute asylum seekers in the UK who don’t have any support for a long time this is good news. Section 4 support (£35 a week in vouchers and a room) is a great hope for some asylum seekers who are waiting for the Home Office to make a decision about their application.
I applied for asylum in the UK four years ago. After one year being in the process I lost my case and became destutite. Thanks to God for a while after being homeless I got support from a charity and am under their support for two years.
Three months ago I applied again for asylum. My case has been accepted for consideration but they are going to send me away from Manchester after I have been her for four years to Plymouth for a room.
I don’t have any choice.
When I asked them to give me a room in Manchester they told me I didn’t have a choice. For me, as someone who has found some friends in the community and church and studied some cources in college it is devastating.
What do you think? Do I have the right to have a room in Manchester after four years living here or not?”
