Walkers had a great time exploring the city on our most recent walking trip. We set off first thing on a guided tour with the wonderful Danny from Invisible Cities, who led us on a tour of the streets he spent four years living on.
Each time we stopped, Danny read out some of his own poetry or an anecdote from his time on the streets. It was an extremely inspiring tour, and sparked a lot of interesting discussions and ideas from the group who were keen to learn from Danny’s experiences. Thank you Danny!
We then headed to The Old Abbey Taphouse in Hulme, where they welcomed us with open arms for a hearty lunch, complete with lots of tea and even a play on the piano!
To top it off, a few of the walkers enjoyed a stroll around Hulme Garden Centre to explore their Winter Festival. It was brilliant to listen to live music, smell the gorgeous scents of home-made candles and Christmas trees and get crafty with the activities on offer.
Thank you to everyone who came, and to Bridget for taking us on another brilliant adventure.’
