Liz, our partnerships and volunteering coordinator, led a team of people to contribute to the Everyday Borders, Everyday Solidarity seminar at the University of Manchester. A massive thanks to Jonathan Gilmore and Kelly Staples for organizing this. This event gave refugees and asylum seekers the chance to speak to those from the University about their real life experiences of being a refugee and asylum seeker. These partnerships help us to create a sense of cohesion within our city and give our sanctuary seekers the chance to tell their stories in a beneficial way. The University are being awarded the first University of Sanctuary Award in Manchester at the end of the month.
