When the WYC approached us asking us how they can get involved, we couldn’t have anticipated the creativity, passion and energy that they have brought to Manchester City of Sanctuary. This talented bunch of 16-24-year-olds will be spending the next 8 weeks channelling their creative energy into something truly special, and we’re so excited to see what they produce.
After weeks of training and learning about effective tools to bring about positive, social change, the group are ready to use their skills and expertise to raise awareness of what it means to be seeking sanctuary and challenge negative perceptions and stereotypes associated with migration.
Their hard work will come to a head on March 2nd when they’ll be hosting an event at the Whitworth Art Gallery to showcase their work, hear from some brilliant speakers and celebrate a successful season together.
