We’d like to say a huge thank you to our amazing engagement team for organising such a great fundraiser last Thursday evening! Over 60 people gathered at levenshulme inspire for a screening of the film ‘8 borders, 8 days’. There was free Ben and Jerry’s ice cream and popcorn for everyone, a wonderful speech from our aspiring journalist volunteer Barly (kindly read by our lovely bukky), and an eye opening and moving film.
After the film we invited each person to make a pledge for 2019 about how they will help support refugees and asylum seekers. Some of these wonderful pledges are shared below!
