We’re really pleased to be working with Refugees and Mentors by hosting Yassin, a HR specialist from Sudan. He’s supporting us in the back office, getting some of our processes and systems up to date.
Here’s what he had to say about his experience:
‘I am working as a volunteer with Manchester City for three months now, I am carrying out administrative and HR duties as an assistant for Liz.
My volunteering in Manchester City of Sanctuary is my first voluntary activity since I came to the UK a year and a half ago from Sudan.
In spite of the short period I have worked so far, it allowed me to know the valuable and important role that we play in Manchester to support refugees in different and effective ways, helping them to integrate with society and interact with it in a positive way, in addition to meeting basic needs for them.
