On Sunday 28th October 2018, we held the first of our new-style community meals, ‘The Big Conversation’.

This event reflected our move to adopting a new style of events, and was the first of what will be bigger and better, quarterly community meals; where everyone is welcome, whatever your language and status, for a time of fun and friendship.

The aim of the event is to bring together different people from across Greater Manchester, to engage in discussions about how we can all improve our services, organisations and projects to be more welcoming and inclusive for people seeking sanctuary. ‘The Big Conversation’ creates a space for discussion and features our ‘Conversation Room’ which is a space where we hope to start more conversations on how we can work together to be a true ‘City of Sanctuary’.

The Big Conversations will take place every 3 months in different venues across the city. As well as having a fun and welcoming space, The Big Conversation gives us a chance to share details about the wonderful work we do and our other events.

We always welcome seeing so many faces old and new, and we love the chance to get together, share some food and relax and connect.
